Wafex USA was founded in 2013 by Steve Dionne as part of a strategic partnership with Craig Musson owner of Wafex Australia, itself founded in 1991. The primary goal of this partnership was to re-define the role of Australian and African native wildflowers in the North American floriculture industry.
Recognizing the challenges inherent in the supply of this seasonal, wildly variant range of varieties led us to place extreme focus on improved packaging, superb farm relationships, price stabilization, and expanded seasonal availability of top varieties. This has resulted in a series of exclusive, unique, Best-in-Class programs ranging from Waxflower to Proteacae and numerous other novelty ranges.
Wafex USA’s strength lies in our strategic partnership with Wafex Australia. With offices in Melbourne, Perth, Brisbane and Sydney - Australia as well as Quito - Ecuador and Nairobi - Kenya, the Wafex Group represents complete vertical integration from breeding, to production, to import and export distribution. Owner Wafex Australia Craig Musson’s vision has always been to create a global flower company that is renowned for producing, sourcing and providing the "World’s Finest Flowers” and together with Wafex USA partner Steve Dionne, this is now a reality!
